Serbia’s state prosecutors on Wednesday dismissed as unfounded any insinuation that tennis world No. 1 Novak Đoković may have faked his own health status in order to circumvent Australia’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate for guests and compete in the Australian Open. “The prosecution acted according to the regulations, checks were performed, and it was determined that Novak Đoković was tested several times and that the certificates on the test results from 16 December 2021 and 22 December 2021 are valid”, the prosecution office’s statement read.
